Opito Bay, Coromandel

We spent a few days in a small community in Opito Bay for a short holiday. Right after settling in our accomodation, we headed to Opito Pa to scout our sunrise shoot location. The walk is only a couple of kilometres from where we're staying, but the climb is steeper than I anticipated.
Here's Chris while climbing the stairs. I set up my tripod at the top of the stairs and took photos of him on different levels. Then I stacked the images in photoshop.
The golden hour was short but enough for us to enjoy taking our long-exxposure shots. Here's Chris again doing his best to capture the first light of day.

Walking back, we were greeted by this lovely beach scenery:
