For this challenge, you'll need to create a portrait of a loved one, friend, or colleague using a window as your main light source. This is all about learning to use beautiful, soft indoor natural light.

Shot 1: Classic Window-Side Headshot

A close-up portrait with your subject facing the camera while the window is to one side of them. Think flattering side light, gentle shadows, nice depth.

Shot 2: Environmental Portrait with the Window in Frame

Pull back and include the window itself and the surrounding environment. This tells more of a story—where they are, what the space feels like, and how the light shapes the scene.

Shot 3: Creative Window Portrait (Your Choice!)

Have fun with this one. A few ideas to spark inspiration:
